"my thoughts on color"... Ansel Adams...
Soon after Kodachrome was invented in the mid-1930s, Ansel Adams shot more than 3,000 color images during the course of his lifetime. Very few of these photographs, however, were published or exhibited. I do not blame them, as I have protested it and have not shown my color pictures. I feel the urge now and I wish I were sixty years younger!"

Built up from within...
When I'm ready to make a photograph... I quite obviously see in my mind's eye something that is not literally there... I'm interested in something which is built up from within, rather than just extracted from without. -Ansel Adams
